Labor Management Update
CAD/AVL – No updates at this time. Please continue to email Lt. Roberts regarding any problems experienced.
CID Staffing Study: Still ongoing, CID personnel will be conducting a 3 week time study in January 2017.
Metro OIS: On hold at this time.
Emergency Contact Information Update: Waiting on new list to ensure everyone has updated information or completed form that they wish to opt out.
Contract Chief / Assistant Chief Transit Pay: Agreed in future that Asst. Chief will be ½ step below Chief for wages. MOU complete.
Extra Duty Transit: New contract may impact OT and staffing. Ongoing discussions.
Bid / Schedule: Almost finalized.
Backfill Det. Wood position: Due to patrol staffing the position will not be backfilled until July 2017.
Westnet: Position on Westnet is being eliminated. Will not create a riff of a detective as a new Postal Inspector position opened. Det. Dickerson was selected for the Postal Investigation opening.
Weight Bearing Vest: Two choices of configuration are now available for private purchase if you wish. No alterations to the two choices can be made.
K9 Master Alternate: Waiting on LOU
Contract Chief Selection Process: Would alter tiers to allow for first and second tiers to be open to Sergeants, D/Sergeants and Lieutenants. Tier 3 would be open to Captains and Tier 4 would be selected by the Sheriff. Discussion ongoing, not signed off on yet.
Edgewood: Asking to eliminate Investigator position and move that FTE to a “cover shift” of 1000 to 2000 hours.
Transit: Currently working Fat Thursday Schedule and requesting move to Modified Fat Thursday Schedule except for one deputy who is currently being accommodated for a hardship.
Second Reading of the 2017 Budget:
LaTour suggested an amended budget to allow for a phone app to be included. Motion by T. Hardesty to waive first reading of amended budget and move to vote. Second by Levi Redding. Vote passed.
Second Reading and Report on By-laws.
Motion to waive notification on website and proceed to vote with second reading of changes to by-laws. (Allowing EBoard to determine disbursement for President, VP, Treasurer and Secretary. Amount of total stipend not being altered but President’s stipend cut to allow for stipend for VP. Further, members could vote on contract ratification without being present at information meeting.)

Motion to Accept 2017 Budget and changes to By-Laws: Hardesty
Moment of Silence for TPD Officer Jake Gutierrez.
Discussion held as to not giving out Good of Order door prized and instead donating the money to assist with offsetting the cost of the memorial.
Motion by Messineo to donate Good of Order prizes to the entity of the Executive Board’s choosing after further research. Second by Cropp. Vote passed.
Carry Over for Vacation: Westfall reported that carry over for vacation has been approved if the carry-over was caused by response to the L. O. D. D. of TPD Officer. Request must be turned in to HR prior to end of year.
